LIVE IN THE MARKET
Many people don't know it but Pike Place Market is home to approximately 500 people who live in the historic district, in more than 300 apartments. The Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) has five affordable housing buildings located directly within the Pike Place Market.
The Market has market rate studio (market with a small "m" - not Pike Place Market "M"), one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. There are also Single Resident Occupancy (SRO) apartments with a kitchenette and shared bathroom. Many of these apartments are for low-income and elderly and/or disabled people.
Some of our buildings have sun and patio decks and offer spectacular and stunning views of Puget Sound. Our buildings offer easy access to the Market's many businesses, the Pike Market Senior Center, the Downtown Food Bank, the Pike Market Medical Clinic, and all major bus routes.
