Introducing "At The Table": a feast of culinary offerings at Pike Place Market

Posted September 26, 2014

Introducing “At The Table,” a feast of culinary offerings at Pike Place Market. Seattle’s epicenter of food just got tastier, if that was possible. Join us in the Market Atrium Kitchen for cooking classes, guest chef demonstrations, cookbook signings and readings and more.

Classes offered include a pie making classes with chef and author Kate Lebo on Oct. 22. If you’ve ever been at a loss for pastry, nervous about filling, confused by pie lore, or annoyed by fussy recipes, Kate Lebo's Pie School is here to make it all better.

By the end of class, you’ll know how to make pastry by hand, how to choose the best fruit, and how to combine the two into any kind of fruit pie you can imagine. Tuition covers all ingredients and supplies. You'll leave class with a pie you baked yourself and a copy of Kate's first book A Commonplace Book of Pie—a collection of poems, ephemera, and recipes from class.
