Kick-off the holiday season at Pike Place Market!

Our 24th annual Magic in the Market celebration is Saturday, November 30th. Get a photo with Santa, see live reindeer, enjoy festive music, and browse our Stockings and Stuffers Handmade Market. Don't forget to stick around for the Market lighting at 5 pm!

Special Offer*: Visitors who spend $75 or more in the Market on Saturday will receive a limited-edition Pike Place Market gift wrap kit which contains 6 sheets of gift wrap. (Redeemable at the Market Tent under the Clock and Sign from 11 am - 4 pm. While Supplies last.)

Honoring Market Artist Graig Anderson: This year Magic in the Market is honoring Market artist Graig Anderson whose holiday buttons have been a staple for the last 20 years. We've enlarged three of his favorite holiday characters and placed them throughout the Market. Come find them along with several other touches of Graig's signature charm including a real life version of his holiday creature: snow monkey.

 

The Cobblestones

Live Reindeer: Meet Boomer and Humphrey! The two real life reindeer are making a stop by Pike Place Market before their worldwide trip on Christmas Eve. The reindeer will be available from 11 am - 2 pm along the cobblestones.

Photos with Santa Claus: Get a free photo with Santa! Whether you're 2 months or 88 years old, everyone is welcome. Santa will be available for photos from Noon - 4 pm.

Live Music: Let the Magic begin. We'll have bands playing festive music from our Farm Truck parked under the Market clock and sign. Lineup TBA
 

Street Activities & Food Vendors: Pike Place Market is bursting with excitement during Magic in the Market. Grab a cup of eggnog or a hot treat to enjoy while you shop. Don't forget to pick up your Christmas Tree or a wreath from the Growing Washington tent. They'll begin selling at Pike Place Market on Friday, November 22nd through Magic in the Market.  

Market Lighting: You don't want to miss the official Market Lighting at 5 pm along the cobblestones.

 

MarketFront Pavilion

Stockings and Stuffers Handmade Market: Create a new tradition and pick out a handmade stocking from 20+ vendors in the MarketFront Pavilion. Along with stockings, our vendor tables will be decked out with the cutest stocking stuffers sure to put a smile on anyone's face. Don't forget to vote on your favorite stocking for a chance to win it! Voting closes at 3 pm.

Glass Blowing Demonstration: Buy a glass ornament blown in front of you by Market artist Gina Karaba. You definitely don't want to miss this tent.

Wood Turning Demonstration: Kids will be mesmerized as Market artist David Harris demonstrates how he makes wooden tops. Tops will be available ​to purchase, as well.

Decorate Your Own Wrapping Paper: Back by popular demand, kids and adults can decorate wrapping paper designed by Market artist Graig Anderson.

Snowflake Ornaments: On Level 4 create your own snowflake ornament. This kids' activity is hosted by West Seattle Art Nest. This event is available from 11 am - 3 pm.

Holiday Wall Hangs: On Level 3 create your own holiday wall hang to decorate your bedroom. This kids' activity is hosted by West Seattle Art Nest. This event is available from 11 am - 3 pm.

 

Atrium Kitchen

Cookie Decorating: Families are invited to decorate cookies outside the Atrium Kitchen. The Atrium Kitchen is located near Pasta Casalinga, Eighth Generation and DeLaurenti Food & Wine​. This event is available from Noon - 3 pm.
