What lies at the threshold between life and death? How will we be remembered? Big questions, to be sure, but Unexpected Productions' "Afterlife: Life and Death...Improvised" tackles them with humor. This interactive comedic production is an exploration of death, dying and how we choose to live. The cast engages you as soon as you enter the Market Theater, using comedy to help you reflect on your own life and death. The improvisers examine the traditions, taboos, myths, legends and assumptions about life, death and afterlife. This is the time of year said to be the brief period when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest. Around the world, we celebrate Halloween, Samhain and Dias de los Muertos. We question life and death. Unexpected Productions brings you Afterlife, created and originally performed by the Orcas Island Project. The Orcas Island Project is a multinational group of performers assembled under the direction of Unexpected Productions' Artistic Director, Randy Dixon. The Market Theater is an all-ages venue. Located conveniently within the historical Pike Place Market at the infamous Gum Wall within lower Post Alley.
