Downtown Summer Sounds, produced by the Downtown Seattle Association (DSA)  and presented by Virginia Mason, brings free local music to downtown Seattle throughout the summer. Formerly the Out to Lunch concert series, Downtown Summer Sounds continues a 40-years DSA tradition of supporting free live music fore Seattle workers, residents and visitors.

For the first time, the Pike Place Market MarketFront will be a venue for Downtown Summer Sounds! From 4 - 5 p.m. every Wednesday for eight weeks, listen to live music and enjoy beautiful views of the water from the MarketFront. Dates and performers are as follows:

Duende Libre: Utilizes the American jazz tradition as a point of departure for daring explorations of rhythm & influences from the Americas, Europe and Africa yielding catchy melodies, lush harmonies, and wholehearted groove.

Kim Archer Band: Known for her raw, powerhouse performances, Kim Archer has attracted a large and loyal following of fans with her vocally-driven soulful rock and honest songwriting.

Nolan Garrett: an artist on the verge of something extraordinary as personified in his gutsy blend of timeless rock n’ roll, sophisticated pop, elements of grunge and garage rock, doused with just the right of amount of blues on fire.

Seattle Women’s Steel Pan Project: Caribbean steel drums and is dedicated to creating a space for women and girls in music through arts education. SWSPP is a multi-generational, multi-ethnic women's Caribbean steel drum band. 

Ayron Jones: Rock ‘n roll embellished with fiery blues licks and booming hip-hop vibes.

Bleachbear:  Playing "dream pop grunge" sprinkled with surf and vintage influences, and acoustic songs with a glittery twist, Bleachbear's unique sound has earned them acclaim as one of Seattle’s favorite rising acts and signature bands.

Peace and Red Velvet: Hip-Hop-Soul-Rock Duo that serves the best two feelings in the universe by way of harmony. 

Parisalexa: Seattle’s premiere triple hyphenate—singer-songwriter-producer—who continues to forge her own brand of R&B tinged pop with the raw materials of the past.
