Join Emily Washines (Yakama/Cree/Skokomish) at the Eighth Generation flagship store as she features her short films, Yakama War: Ayat (woman) and Yakama Lullaby, and shares resources on language, history and parenting. Emily Washines takes her writing skills, love for language, and knowledge of film to create resources for families and communities around language, history, and culture through her project, Native Friends. Eighth Generation is a Native-owned, artist-centric shop and gallery located in the heart of the Atrium at Pike Place Market, known for its contemporary cultural art, gifts, and homeware. All residencies at Eighth Generation are always artist direct, so artists keep 100% of the profits from their work.
