|The 9th Annual Flower Festival|
|8:00 am - 5:00 pm|
On May 13-14, celebrate Mom and the arrival of spring at the annual Pike Place Market Flower Festival on Mother’s Day weekend. Bring the whole family to enjoy and shop for flowers, produce, and specialty products from more than 40 Washington state farmers from King, Snohomish and Whatcom Counties.
In the early morning hours, tents will be set up on the west side of the cobblestone street of Pike Place to showcase the farmers’ abundant bouquets of tulips, daffodils, irises and peonies. Browse the tents and watch the farmers carefully arrange the flowers, pick up a bouquet or two and enjoy shopping and dining at the Market.
For those daughters looking to get creative with their mother, the Market’s Atrium Kitchen is hosting a Mother’s Day cooking class with Cucina Casalinga on Sunday, May 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. Attendees will learn how to prepare spaghetti alla chitarra from scratch using a traditional chitarra, an Italian tool, served with local Manila clams and mussels. After their food is complete, mothers and daughters will have the opportunity to enjoy their pasta with Prosecco Adami in the spectacular atmosphere of Pike Place Market.
