Mural Hunt

Pike Place Market artists painted eight temporary murals across the Market as a gift to our locals and a surprise to our visitors. They'll be up for the month of February. So find them all!

The pop-up art installations are designed by Market artists Alex AchavalBrooke WestlundCarol Chen LordJennifer CullinRachel Jobe Cuba, and Stacey Sterling.

Love Fortune Booth

Come get your 2019 Love fortune read by Sylvia O'Stayformore. This free activity will be on Level 3 in the DownUnder. 

Step into Ms. O'Stayforemore's office and relax as she tells you what this year will bring and how you can improve your love life -- it might include eating more vegetables. 


Meet the Producers

Learn a new skill and watch craft demonstrations from 6 artists in the Pike Place MarketFront Pavilion

  • Fine Silver Jewelry: Three women (Kathi Allen of SilkenPath, Melissa Schafer of MSSA Designs, and Gail Coupal of Hot Flashes) will forge silver jewelry through their fiery alchemy. 
  • Tie-dye: Marcus Roloson of Sew it Seams Tie Dye will be demonstrating how to create tie-dye designs. 
  • Stuffed Critters: Patricia Roberts of Falcorations Odyssey will be creating plush creatures. 
  • Basket Weaving: Jacinthe Two Bulls will be demonstrating how to make twined cedar bark pictorial basket with maidenhair fern and canary grass embroidery.


Artist Challenge

Come see the first ever Pike Place Market Artist Challenge. Four Market artists have accepted the challenge which will begin at 11 a.m. on February 23rd in the MarketFront Pavillion. Each artist will have four hours to create their masterpiece on a specific topic yet to be announced. 


Meet the contenders:

Aaron MurrayCeramicist and Sculptor

Aaron Murray specializes in clay creatures in a contemporary/primitive style that charges his figures with playful energy. He likes owls, pelicans, robots, Sasquatch, everything.

Taught at both Brookhaven College and The University of North Texas, Aaron’s self-taught in painting, printmaking and wood carving.

Additionally, he teaches art to a wide range of age groups at several art centers around Seattle.



Kate EndleCollage Artist, Illustrator and renowned children's book author

Drawing inspiration from folk art, vintage illustration, and funky thrift store finds, Kate Endle creates her original collages.

Kate uses hand-painted and printed papers along with decorative papers from Japan and India, cutting, glueing and embellishing the pieces by hand. 



Lynn Rosskamp: Printmaker and Expert Wise-Cracker

Specializing in intaglio etching, Lynn Rosskamp is a Seattle based printmaker.

Utilizing a variety of materials and techniques Lynn creates multi-layered pieces from whimsical to haunting.




Ernesto Ybarra: Painter 

Ernestro Ybarra paints with every ounce of his being. His artwork moves between multiple worlds: past and present, representational and abstract expressionism, modern and folkloric art, and his Mexican heritage and American lifestyle.

Ernestro works without limiting labels and colors.




Cookie Decorating 

Join us from 12 - 3 p.m. in the DownUnder, Level 4 to decorate cookies baked by the delicious Atrium Kitchen

While supplies last and limit of two per person

As you watch the craft demonstrations make sure you snag a bit to eat and something to drink from 4 food vendors stationed throughout the MarketFront Pavilion or enjoy the 70+ restaurants throughout the Market.

Five different Pike Place Market shops will host food, wine or chocolate pairings on February 23, 2019, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This event is $35 pp + tax and fees (Ticket Value is over $60) while tickets last.


Your ticket gets you 15 tasting pairings from 5 Market locations.

You pick and choose your order of locations. (Note: Atrium Kitchen has a limited tasting window from 11-3 p.m.)

Atrium Kitchen

The Atrium Kitchen will pair bites of the Pacific Northwest with three wines. 

  • Strawberry White Chocolate Empanada // Sparkling Rose (Grenache varietal)
  • Mini Handmade Beecher’s Cheddar Tamale with Mole Sauce // Tempranillo
  • Mocha Braised Short Rib // Efeste Final Final

Tasting time: 11 - 3 p.m.


indi chocolate

indi chocolate will combine two of life's greatest pleasures, bourbon and chocolate! Guests will pair:

  • Noble Oak Bourbon infused with indi chocolate nibs
  • indi chocolate infused with Noble Oak Bourbon
  • Last tasting TBA

Tasting time: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.



Made in Washington

Made in Washington will pair three Washington state wines with their Seabear SmokeHouse Tasting Flight which includes five samples;

  • Lox
  • Pacific Northwest Smoked Salmon
  • Smoked Scallop
  • Smoked Halibut
  • Smoke master's choice

Tasting time: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.


Northwest Tastings 

At Northwest Tastings you'll have the option to pair three wines with either cured meats, Washington state artisan cheeses, or dairy free and vegan chocolates.;

  • White Heron Roussanne paired with Peruvian Chocolate and Pistachio or Glondo's (Cle Elum) Cured Salami or Sunny Pine Farms (Twisp) Garlic/Basil Goat Cheese
  • White Heron Rose of Syrah paired with Honey Coconut Chocolate or Glondo's Pepperoni or Sunny Pine Farms Honey/Lavender Goat Cheese
  • White Heron Mariposa Red paired with Ecuadorean Chocolate and Raspberry or Glondo's Coppa or Zahar's (Ellensberg) Monterey Jack

Tasting time: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.


Truffle Queen

Truffle Queen will be pairing wine and truffles! 

  • Wautoma Springs Sauvignon Blanc paired with Potato Leek Soup Drizzled with White Truffle Oil
  • Tuesday Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon paired with an Aged Parmesan Crisp Garnished with Red Truffle Pesto
  • Subplot No 35 Red Blend paired with Mini Grilled Cheese Sandwich Infused with Parmesan Reggiano Con Tartufo + Fire Roasted Grilled Sundried Tomato
