Be sure to participate in the Market’s longest holiday tradition! Our family-friendly Magic in the Market will feature an assortment of activities for all. The event is free (items for sale, prices vary).



Meet Santa
Under Market Clock
11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Meet and take free photos with Santa under the clock


Stockings & Stuffers Event
MarketFront Pavilion
11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Purchase handmade stockings and small gifts to stuff them with
  • Watch artist David Harris as he demonstrates woodturning
  • Decorate your own wrapping paper & get temporary tattoos designed by Graig Anderson 
  • Stocking Voting Contest – Select the market’s Stocking Stitcher of the year! (New)
  • Meet The Artist behind the annual holiday button: Graig Anderson
  • Take a photo with 6 holiday creature cutouts created by artist Graig Anderson 


Find Sasquatch
11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

  • Take a photo with the Market's Sasquatch created by artist Kelice Penney of Careful It Bites
  • Receive a Magic Pine Cone ornament with Market inspiration


Free Cookie Decorating
Atrium Kitchen
12 - 3 p.m.

  • Families with kids 12 and under are invited to decorate cookies outside the Atrium Kitchen


Meet Baby Reindeer
Along Pike Place, north of tree

  • Meet Jingle Belle and Willow from Santa’s Reindeer Company

  • Santa leads the countdown to the lighting of the tree and lights throughout the Market.

  • Purchase fresh cider, hot cocoa and other beverages from farmers and merchants on Pike Place
  • Shop the Market for seasonal foods and locally made gifts
  • MarketSpice, Indi Chocolate, Martin Family Orchards, Silver Springs Creamery
  • Pick out the perfect holiday tree from Growing Washington and wreaths from local farmers on Pike Place


Holiday Parking: $4/hour up to 4 hours in the Public Market Garages (1901 Western Avenue and 1531 Western Avenue)
