PIKE PLACE PALATE

Summer Issue of Pike Place Palate Now Available

We are happy to announce the publication of the fifth issue of Pike Place Palate - a periodical that focuses on the bounty of the food and farm culture that makes Seattle's famed public market a destination for the downtown neighborhood. Pike Place Palate tells the stories behind the products, by introducing Market farmers and food vendors through in-depth stories. This 16-page publication is an informative guide for food lovers and Market shoppers. It will be available mid June.

Our summer issue features stories about salsa, okra and zucchini (with a few recipes thrown in); an introduction to new Market farmers Rockridge Orchards and their hard cider; and an introduction to Pa and Thong Cha, longtime Market farmers who sell their beautiful floral bouquets in the Market. There’s a feature on Slow Food and an article on the Market’s school outreach program. You’ll find dates for our special farm selling days this summer as well as our Sunday chef demonstrations. We top it off with a forward by Carol Binder, the Market’s outgoing Executive Director, and a $5 off coupon to spend on fresh produce or flowers from a Market farmer.
