Pike Place Market's iconic clock and sign will soon be sharing space – for one night only – with icons of another type: band members from Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees and Guns and Roses on Sunday, August 23, at 7 p.m.

Seattle radio station, KEXP presents RAW POWER, a one-of-a-kind FREE concert at the Market, in anticipation of the extraordinary shows to come in KEXP's New Home at the Seattle Center

RAW POWER KEXP features four Seattle music icons — Mike McCready (Pearl Jam, Mad Season), Duff McKagan (Guns n' Roses, Velvet Revolver), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Tuatara), and Mark Arm (Mudhoney) — performing their favorite songs by punk pioneers Iggy and the Stooges on the Pike Place Market rooftop. The RAW POWER band will play directly underneath the iconic Pike Place Market sign (near the corner of 1st Ave and Pike St). The streets around the market will be closed that evening to accommodate fans. This concert is free and open to the public.

Those interested in a VIP experience that benefits the Market Foundation and the Pike Up! capital campaign for the new MarketFront can go to to the Market Foundation’s website for options. http://www.pikeplacemarketfoundation.org/rawpower/

Fans can also be entered to win a VIP experience through KEXP's Crowdwise page here: https://www.crowdrise.com/RawPower
