“Back to Where it All Began” Former Market Business, Glass Eye Studio Returns to Pike Place Market

Posted March 8, 2021

During the middle of last month’s snowstorm, Glass Eye Studio returned to its roots by opening its retail space in Pike Place Market’s main arcade.

Glass Eye Studio originally started more than 40 years ago in a small shop in Pike Place Market’s Upper Post Alley. Today, the studio continues to thrive under the leadership and creative vision of Piper O’Neill.

Glass Eye Studio’s hot shop (where they make their masterpieces) is located in the Ballard industrial maritime district and has become a creative hotbed of master craftsmen, visiting artists, designers, and a dog or three. They are one of the oldest and largest privately-owned hot shops in the country.

Visit Glass Eye Studio’s new retail space located next to Marakesh Leather just down the ramp from Pike Place Fish under the iconic Public Market Center Clock and Sign. They are open Friday - Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
