2020 Daystall Rules and Review 

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the 2020 Daystall Rules Review process is currently on hold. Please check back for updated information.

Each year, the PDA conducts a public review process of the Daystall Rules and Regulations, which cover all daystall activities for farmers, craftspeople and performers in the Market. During this time, anyone in the Market community or any member of the public may submit rule change proposals and/or may offer comment on existing rule change proposals. Proposals are reviewed by staff and the PDA Council.

Guided Tour License Requirements and Application

Pike Place Market hosts a variety of different walking tours where experienced guides give a peek inside the happenings of our busy neighborhood. The below rules apply to all guided tours in Pike Place Market, on the street and in PDA buildings. All tour guides must display current visible permit badges. Tour guides must be sponsored by a company that has a license to conduct tours issued by the PDA. These companies must provide commercial liability insurance, have tour routes described in detail, and list all businesses locations they will visit. An access fee is charged for each tour guest as a cost to each of the tour businesses. Commercial Filming / Photography 

All commercial filming or photography must be authorized by the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA). To submit a request for commercial filming or photography, please review our commercial filming/photography webpage and complete a filming application. Click Here. 

Due to crowded conditions of Pike Place Market, in most cases, filming is only permitted Tuesday-Thursday. Weekend filming is not permitted.
Please note that applications are required at least two weeks in advance of requested filming date, and longer for large projects.

Small Works Contractor Roster (SWCR)

The Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority (PDA) maintains and periodically updates a construction trades contractor list for a variety of construction, craft, and maintenance trades. This questionnaire compiles a contractor roster for soliciting bids for work from contractors qualified on the roster.
