Happy Hour

For a quick beverage or bite at great prices, head to any of these well-known Market staples that bring excellence for a bargain during their special hours.

 

Alibi Room: Tap into happy hour every day until 6 p.m. at this hideaway establishment in Post Alley. They offer select wine and beers for $5, classic cocktails, and small plates ranging between $6-8. Try their miniature spicy mac and cheese, half-price mini pizzas from any selection on their menu, or build your own! Their pizzas are crafted with unique and indulgent topping combinations like fig, goat cheese, and prosciutto.

The Athenian: A legacy venue of the Market locals, you can enjoy happy hour here Monday-Saturday 4-9pm in their 21+ lounge. Their discount menu offers an array of seafood specialties, with dishes like fresh oysters on the half shell, wild salmon skewers with a buttery lemon sauce, fish and chips, and coconut curry penn cove mussels all under $10! Find $5 draft microbrews and $5 well drinks, among other drink specials.

Lonely Siren: Enjoy Portuguese-inspired light bites, craft cocktails, and other pours in this cozy lower level restaurant and bar. Their food menu is $1 off during happy hour, with drink specials all under $10 between 3-6pm and 10pm-12am.

Pike Place Bar & Grill: For a cozy spot to enjoy a cold one and watch the game, head to the upper level of the Corner Market to enjoy wings, nachos, and other crispy bites in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Find discounted specials of draft beers, wine, cocktails, and snacks daily from 4-7pm in their 21+ lounge area. 

Rachel’s Ginger Beer: Simple and refreshing, this taproom brews up its signature sippers from a naturally delicious formula of lemons, cane sugar, ginger root, and water. Enjoy Moscow mules, ginger beer floats, and build-your-own cocktails with your infused ginger beer flavor and spirit of choice at their flagship establishment. Try their classic mule at a discount price during happy hour 4-6pm daily!

The Dressing Room by Can Can: A vibrant and colorful Parisian-themed bar operated as a sister establishment to the Can Can Culinary Theatre. Their craft cocktail menu rotates seasonally throughout the year developed by their talented bartenders alongside a French Pacific Northwest-inspired menu. Don’t miss trying the beignets!

Jarrbar: With vinyl records playing and late Baroque era decor, this intimate eight-seat establishment offers specialty cocktail drinks, select imported wines, and small Mediterranean-inspired bites in a secluded cozy environment on Western Avenue. Try out one of their carefully crafted beverages or request one of their knowledgeable bartenders to build a cocktail tailored to your personal taste. 

Place Pigalle: With premium spirits and an unbeatable view of the glowing ferris wheel and waterfront by night, this locale specializes in a charming ambiance for an evening out. Their fresh citrus squeezed to order is sure to delight your palate with a cocktail list spanning both traditional and contemporary recipes. 

Radiator Whiskey: Apt to their name, enter this venue and you’ll find whiskey on tap in aging barrels decorating their rustic bar. With warm wood tones matching the aesthetic throughout, the comforting mood of this bistro and bar offers a cozy scene for a nightcap. 

Taproom at Pike Place: Filled with large wooden slab tables that invite groups to enjoy company in a casual setting, the Taproom is the stop for evening sporting events. Their 16 local craft taps and small bites menu offer a great selection to bask in while their large TVs play throughout to entertain patrons during live games.

Dinner

There’s no better way to take in the fresh ingredients and diverse selection of cuisines the area has to offer than sitting down for a meal at our Market restaurants. Visit any of the following dinner stops to treat yourself and company to a memorable evening.

 

El Borracho: For vegan lovers! Enjoy delicious plant-based Mexican cuisine in a comfortable ambience with a full bar. Build your own meal-worthy nachos or tacos with an array of toppings that invite flavors of chipotle, ancho chile adobo and zesty chile lime seasonings in vegetarian alternative proteins like jackfruit, tofu and more. Open late Monday-Thursday until 10pm, and Friday-Saturday until 11pm.

Il Bistro: Step into this mid-century, speakeasy-style lounge that brings you to the Tuscan region with their romantic, fine-dining menu highlighting regional Italian fare. Find delectable antipasti, pastas and delicately prepared entrees of both surf and turf. For a northwestern feature, try their halibut al burro e tartufo: a pan-seared fillet dressed alongside herbed gnocchi, colorful cauliflower and rich truffle butter.

Le Pichet: Indulge in the rich delights of French cuisine with a fresh list of seasonally crafted plates to warm your appetite, whether big or small. They offer a select array of cured meats, pâté spreads and rich soups to invite you to the next course. If you have the time and company, indulge in their roasted chicken for two: made to order with wild mushrooms, squash and fig bread pudding, and carefully prepared within a one-hour window. 

Matt’s in the Market: Take in the Market from above! The bright ambience of Matt’s directly overlooking the signature Clock & Sign is an excellent stop for fresh and innovative Pacific Northwestern fare. Indulge in their creamy seafood stew served with warm focaccia, or venture further with their roasted sturgeon plate presented with roasted squash and brussels sprouts. With a small, intimately prepared menu, you’re sure to find a hit in every choice. 

Maximilien: Known for some of the best waterfront dining at the Market, Maximilien offers fine French cuisine with authentic preparation and elegant service. Their limited-seating, seasonal iconic igloos offer patrons the opportunity to take in the Secret Garden’s patio outdoors with panoramic views while staying warm and cozy in your own personal bubble. Enjoy a simmering basket of steamed mussels with crispy fries or greens alongside a glass of sparkling wine for a most satisfying meal!

Old Stove Brewery: Where classic pub food meets an elevated from-scratch kitchen, Old Stove offers a warm, industrial ambience with wood-fired pizzas, craft burgers, soups, salads and more alongside their 24 taps of rotating brews made on-site and viewable in the making from the dining area. Their 80-foot window wall opens up broad views of the waterfront, where you can watch the twinkling lights of ferries and vessels traverse across the Puget Sound.

Pink Door: Look for the namesake of this quaint and eclectic eatery in Post Alley and find yourself amid spirited service and top-notch cuisine, backdropped by a unique rotating lineup of live music, aerial performances and more. Their classically driven menu focuses on Italian-American dishes with a fresh spin, and offers its patrons locally sourced produce paired with quality meats of sea and land to bring elegance without pretentiousness. 

Virginia Inn: This renowned venue with a century-old history serves regional Northwest cuisine in a cozy and friendly bistro atmosphere, bringing creative new pairings to classic preparations and offering gluten-free options. Enjoy a full bar alongside their Alaskan smoked salmon with dill crème appetizer, or try the slow-roasted BBQ pork sliders. They always keep a “catch of the day” on rotation, be sure to ask!

Can Can Culinary Cabaret: If you’re in the market for dinner AND a show, head to this elaborately draped theatre that produces original shows, music, art and choreography in a culinary cabaret. Sliding-scale options for tickets are available based on your intention for the evening: admission only, or additional drinks and fare from their market-fresh kitchen.

The Rabbit Box: Step into this events venue for live music, comedy acts, and more! Open Wednesday – Sunday 3 – 11pm, enjoy crafty libations and bistro menu items available throughout the evening while you take in the show. Unexpected Productions: With a nearly 40-year legacy, Seattle’s longest running improv theater sits right below our main thoroughfare next to the Gum Wall. Catch their longtime staple show Theatresports LIVE Fridays and Saturdays at 9pm, where two improv teams battle for victory based on audience suggestions. Coming Jan. 7: the Improvised Hip Hopera: The Revival – using audience suggestions, improv performers meld comedy and hip hop to paint a comically tragic story of love and betrayal with beatboxing, freestyle, characters and more.
