Smoked Salmon Canapes with a Creamy Horseradish Dip

Smoked salmon is a beautifully versatile fare for entertaining, from holiday brunches to evening starters. If you have guests visiting from out of town, fish from Pike Place Market is a must for showcasing the local region’s delights! Opt for smoked salmon and this simple but delectable hors d’oeuvre takes five minutes from start to finish.

How to make:

Whisk together one cup heavy cream, three tablespoons of bottled horseradish, two teaspoons of Dijon mustard and a pinch of black pepper to taste, until thick and holding soft peaks.

Make-ahead at least one hour in advance and chill. If you have a whipped cream dispenser on hand, it can be a great tool for an extra fluffy texture.

Serve on the side with one pound of smoked salmon.

Garnish with sliced lemon and cucumber if desired and serve with your favorite crackers.
