Shop at the Pike Place Market fish markets, butchers and dairy shops for fresh seafood, meat and dairy products from knowledgeable producers who know how and where the food was caught, raised or made. Say hello and meet the producers, many of whom have worked at the Market for decades, or whose family owns the business—they are happy to share their knowledge, recipes and cooking tips with you.
The Market’s four fish markets offer an array of fresh and smoked salmon and other fish like Alaskan halibut, swordfish and tuna. Crab, shrimp, lobster and shellfish such as oysters, clams and mussels are delivered to the Market daily. You’ll find fresh scallops and squid too. Check out seafood rubs, kitchen tools and cookbooks for added flavor and expertise. Seafood can be shipped or delivered cross town or cross country.
Shop at the meat counters to find a variety of quality meats that extend beyond what most grocery stores carry. Our butchers source from small-scale ranches and pride themselves on providing the freshest poultry and meat. Farm fresh chickens are delivered daily. Ground beef is made in-house, as are sausages, jerky, marinades and rubs. Specialty meats like beef and veal sweetbreads, tongue and liver are available. Seasonal and holiday offerings include fresh turkey, duck, geese, pheasant and other game birds. Services include specialty cuts, pre-orders, cooking recommendations and portion and planning assistance.
An amazing variety of milk and dairy products—from raw goat milk to crème fraiche—are offered at the Market’s own creamery. You can buy milk in glass bottles, along with chocolate milk, half and half, and heavy cream. Stop in for brown or white eggs from free-running hens or try the turkey, goose or tiny quail eggs. There’s a selection of cream cheese, yogurt, butters, and seasonal products like eggnog, along with vegan substitutes for butter, sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise and other dairy products.
