As the Pike Place Market has grown and changed over more than a century, different organizations have formed to address the needs of the Market itself and its many diverse tenants.

Daystall Tenants Association

The Daystall Tenants Association was formed to preserve the dignity and character of Pike Place Market, specifically for artists, farmers, agents and performers of the Market community. For more information, call 206.632.5230.

Friends of the Market

Formed in 1964 to campaign to “Keep the Market” when urban renewal developers sought to destroy it, the group Friends of the Market continues to serve as an advocate of Pike Place Market. Their events and programs support their mission of educating the public about the Market and promoting its history and traditions.

Pike Place Merchants Association

The Pike Place Merchants Association grew out of the original Farm Association established in the 1920s. The Association advocates for and serves its members by providing access to professional legal, accounting, bookkeeping and insurance services. Since 1974, the Association has published the monthly Pike Place Market News. For more information, call 206.587.0351.
